We are thrilled to announce the commencement of our preseason training for the upcoming 2025 season! As we gear up for another exciting year of lacrosse, we have some important information to share regarding the preseason training schedule and 2025 registration process and fee structure.
Preseason Training Schedule:
- Seniors: Our senior players preseason starts next Tuesday 4th of February 2025 at the Greenwich Reserve, Newport. Bring runners and boots. The Performance Club (TPC) will be running a fitness session which will cater for all fitness levels so don’t worry is you have enjoyed the summer too much. Cliff from Williamstown Health & Lifestyle will also be doing some baseline testing. Senior training sessions continue to take place every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6:30 PM.
- Juniors: Our junior players will begin their preseason training on the Tuesday 4th of March 2025 Training sessions will be held every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 5:30 PM (likely at the Fearon Reserve, but TBC). This is a fantastic opportunity for our younger athletes to sharpen their skills, get back into the game, and prepare for the season ahead.
In order to ensure all players are covered for insurance in the event of any injury that may be sustained, please ensure you register online before attending pre-season training (see 2025 Online Registration Process & Fee Structure below).

It is anticipated that Tuesday and Thursday night training sessions will be held at the Greenwich Reserve, Newport throughout February before moving to the Fearon Reserve, Williamstown in March. Note: Any changes to training locations will be communicated via WhatsApp.
2025 Online Registration Process & Fee Structure:
The WLC Committee kindly requests that all players complete the online registration process before attending any preseason training sessions. This is crucial to ensure that you are covered for insurance purposes during the preseason and are eligible to play in the 2025 season.

Lacrosse Victoria Registration Fee
Commencing in 2025, Lacrosse Victoria has implemented a new fee structure requiring all Victorian players who would like to participate in any form of lacrosse in the calendar year to pay a Lacrosse Victoria Registration (LVR) Fee directly to Lacrosse Victoria at the time of registering. The LVR Fee includes player insurance coverage, Lacrosse Australia (LA) and Lacrosse Victoria (LV) fees including all LV sanctioned competitions and events. This is not a new additional expense, as these costs have previously been included in our club membership fees.
The LVR fee varies based on Age Groups determined by player’s date of birth as of 1st May 2025 as follows:

2025 WLC Membership Fees
In addition to the LVR Fee, the WLC Membership Fees are payable to help cover the WLC operating costs and LV competition team entry fees in particular.
The 2025 WLC Membership Fees tabled below are to be paid in full by no later than 30th April 2025 unless alternative payment arrangements have been agreed with Matthew Price (Treasurer), Darren Gibson (Junior Co-ordinator) or Simon Brown (Secretary).
Please note, unlike the LVR Fee, the WLC Membership Fee is based on the actual competition / team Age Group players intend playing in in 2025 (eg. while a player may be Under 10 as at 1 May based on their date of birth, if they play Under 12s their WLC Membership Fee is $125).
